Smart Start . . . 

The Davis Dyslexia Correction Program® offers tools and techniques that best matches the client's learning style.

 

These tools, techniques, and procedures are unique and differ from those offered in the regular school setting.

 

This Program is offered only by a licensed facilitator from the Davis Dyslexia Association International®.

 

The Program is equally suited to children ages 7-8 and above through adult.

 

The Program trains the client to view his surroundings in an oriented state, thus allowing him to see and hear exactly what is there, not what is thought to be there.

 

Children receiving additional remediation services are able to use those services more effectively following the Program.

 

The client's own realization of a problem and motivation are essential ingredients of the Program's success.

 

The Program is based on 30 hours, over 5-day period. It is intensive, but fun.

 

Following the initial Program, continuation of the Davis Symbol Mastery® steps is essential for maximum success.

The following disabilities may also be corrected through the Davis® procedures:

	Auditory Perception disorder
	Handwriting Difficulties (dysgraphia)
	Math Difficulties (dyscalcula)
	ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)

Program setting is one-on-one, given by a licensed and professional facilitator.

 

Program hours are generally 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Lunch is on your own and scheduled from 11:30-12:30. Special scheduling arrangements may be available upon request.

 

Support training is included for family members and others designated by the family.

 

Client receives a kit of resource materials to take home.
